How can we support Miss Williams ?

You can  support Andy and Jo Connolly directly online by following this link to Latin Link.

Latest reports from Jo are below:

August 2019

We are really excited to be heading off to Salta in the north of Argentina to join in the work that the church is doing there in serving the local communities. It is a place that Jo has already lived in and loved and we're looking forward to seeing what will be in store for Andy as he explores opportunities to serve using his gifts and experience. I have attached a copy of our new support leaflet where you can find more information (if you would like a paper copy just let us know).

We hope to leave for Argentina as soon as possible and we are currently in the process of raising funds and support. The best way you can support us is through prayer and keeping in touch. If you do feel you are able to financially support us the easiest way is to follow this link to our page on Latin Link's website https://www.latinlink.org.uk/appeal/andy-and-joanne-connolly. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask us.

Hasta luego amigos!
Love, Jo and Andy.
August 2018

Dear friends,

Hello from Hoddesdon! I present to you a short round-up of the first half of 2018. It has been a packed few months with lots of changes but I am sure you will see and agree that God has been faithful as ever and there is so much to be thankful for.

Firstly I do want to thank you all for your continuing support, love and interest in my life. Thank you for celebrating with me as I married the wonderful Mr Andy Connolly in March (and April)! It was great to celebrate with so many fantastic friends and family and we are definitely enjoying married life even as we adjust to each other's sometimes bizarre ways! If you'd like to see the official wedding pics (of which there are a couple of hundred!), you can find online them at

Please give thanks to God with us as we both completed our studies at All Nations Christian College at the beginning of July and Andy has gained his degree in Biblical and Intercultural Studies. We can both say that studying at All Nations has been a life changing experience not just because it's where we met but mainly because it is a place where the Bible and God's ways are faithfully taught by tutors who are experts in their fields and passionately live out what they teach backed up by faithful years of previous missions experience and current involvement in God's work across the nations. Both of us would recommend anyone who feels even the slightest pull towards mission work (whether in the UK or abroad) to check out the courses on offer.  www.allnations.ac.uk

For the last 2 months I have been working part-time at Asda and we have both been working in the kitchen at college as it becomes a conference centre over the summer months. My work at Asda will continue and Andy is looking for work to start as the work at college finishes (prayers appreciated). It has been great for me to rejoin the 'real world' after being in a bit of a Christian 'bubble' at college. I work on the checkouts with a great bunch of colleagues and there have already been lots of interesting conversations with them and with customers. Please pray that my being there will have an impact for good and that I will have opportunity and the bravery to share the reason for the hope that I have. I currently have to work Sundays which limits my ability to be involved in church so please also pray that I will be able to change my weekend hours to a Saturday so that I can be at church to receive teaching and give in service.

We have recently moved to Hoddesdon, a little town not far from college. We live with our landlord Paul who is really lovely and his cat Patches. We are very blessed that the rent is about half of what normal rent would be in this area and we are able to feel at home in a lovely house. Our plan is to remain here now until all is in place for the move to Argentina. Our next steps are for Andy to complete the application process then we will receive a budget to work towards in support-raising before we get the go-ahead to book tickets and go. This means that we cannot yet set a date but we are aiming for it to be within the first half of 2019. Please pray that we will find churches and individuals as wonderful as you are who will be willing to support us as a couple both financially and in prayer.

Latin Link as an organisation is going through a lot of changes at the moment as a lot of mission agencies are facing economic challenges but also having to rethink how they work as organisations within our ever-changing world. Please pray for them as they go through the process of recruitment and continue to support mission work across Latin American and increasingly as Latin Americans come to support the church in Europe. You can find out more at www.latinlink.org.uk

Other news (in brief!!!)
My brother and his lovely wife are expecting their first baby in October! As you are probably aware they have had a lot of heartache getting to this stage but praise God that this time things are looking good. Please pray for continued good progress and for a straight-forward birth of a healthy baby!
Andy's mam has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully it is very early stages. Please pray for her as she is operated on on the 28th August.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this essay! One of my post-college and wedding pledges is to keep in touch with you more often so that you can be saved from these mammoth updates!
Please do get in touch and let us know your news and what we can be praying for you.
Thank you so much for your support.

Lots of love,

Jo and Andy. xx
